Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why is Wii still on the charts?

The sales last year were really shitty for it (after 7 years of moving up the charts), but now it's reaching lows of 4k weekly. Is it truly over and Nintendo is just selling the last of them, or will they push it for the rest of this year?

Thanks for all the great memories!

Its probably on the charts cause the other 7th gen consoles are on the charts. But yes, Nintendo is probably just selling whatever is left and clearing inventory

I think their actually selling the last of their stock, though considering Mario Kart is still on the charts weekly and Just Dance on the Wii is the best selling version together with the fact that Fifa 15 has actually increased sales over Fifa 14, I don't see a reason why they should stop.

In fact in 2014 Wii software sales were greater than Wii U software sales.

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

It is kinda weird though. Like I think the only new Wii you can buy these days is the Wii Mini.

It'll probably be removed at some point this year.

Any idea what they're going to do next? I'm too lazy to use The Google.

Yup, I still see loads of Wii Minis in sale in stores but no regular Wiis.

I believe Nintendo is clearing the last of their stock out, and will eventually stop being tracked this year. We could be seeing even lower than 4k here over the next couple weeks/months.

I think all 7th gen consoles should be discontinued
