So basically Nintendo consoles were always weak in europe and ROW and strong in America + japan?

And now with japanese market shrinking the only market that can push nintendo consoles is america?

If this is right,that kind of explain why WiiU is selling less than gamecube.

I means,both consoles have similar problems but back then japan still was a big market.

If the DS didn't release so early, the the GameBoy Advance could have sold more in the Americas than the original GameBoy.

Wii U is going to fall well short of the GameCube especially in North America.

GBA is Nintendo's second most succesful handheld, no matter what the numbers say.

Funny how with the last three consoles, Europe and Japan are basically tied.

Nintendo treated Europe like crap during the NES and SNES days, Sony made Europe as much of a priortiy as the US/Japan and it paid dividends for them. 

WiiU could match GameCube in Europe and Japan if it gets a full 5 years, but it's well behind in the US for now. DS is just amazing all around, we'll probably never see anything like that again. 3DS also does relatively the worst in America, it won't get anywhere near GBA there it seems. It does very well in Japan though and decent in Europe, even if it will fall short there as well.
