What could Xenoblade possibly teach Final Fantasy? It was FF 12 that taught Xenoblade in the first place.

No, never, not in a million years. The ONLY thing Square-Enix needs to do is give Monolith Soft the rights to Xenogears. Then they are allowed to die.

Final Fantasy has been a dissappointing series since 10.

There is a lot it could learn from Xenoblade:
1. Adequate game pacing, Xenoblade has fantastic game pacing in an open world, Final Fantasy's linear worlds can't even seem to match that.
2. Side quests and stories, Final Fantasy lacks this, but Xenoblade has stuff to do all over the place in abundance.
3. Towns, FF12 had big empty fields with blocks representing masquerading as towns, FF13 didn't have them at all. This is something Xenoblade does way way way better.
4. A good battle system, Final Fantasy hasn't had one of these since 10, Xenoblade has the best in the industry.
5. A good story. Again, none since FF10. Xenoblade wasn't even meant to be a story focused game, but it demolishes FF12 and all those FF13s.

What Xeboblade could use from Final Fantasy is its fanbase. Final Fantasy has a huge fanbase of people who are infinitely forgiving of all the crappy entries in the series for the last 15 years. Xenoblade needs a marketing campaign to give it the exposure it deserves.

I doubt it since I played both games. FF 12 influenced Xenoblade in a few aspects, the big enemies and the high level enemies in early areas, you also have the big areas and seamless battles.  When I first played Xenoblade I instantly thought about FF 12.

I'm not saying Xenoblade copied FF 12 but you can clearly see some similarities. Both are great games though and I loved them.

And besides there is nothing that Xenoblade can teach Final Fantasy. They are two completely different series! Final Fantasy is better off learning from their older installments than from Xenoblade.

I know it's a matter of taste but...
