All the games in the OP were million sellers.

Tropical Freeze shouldn't be on there Bayo 2 is more of a game that no one played and was better. But Tropical Freeze is amazing and highly underrated by consumers

Strange list of nominees Evil Within and Wolfenstein had quite decent sales (2 million + each excluding digital), so did DK, I dont know how they concluded that "no one played them".

I was hoping for more obscure gems.

My second favorite game of the year

Tropical Freeze is fantastic and deserves so much more but it shouldn't be on this list and neither should any of the other nominees. Sales were disappointing for sure but it's not like no one played them...

They made a pretty bad list tbh, all sold well too high to be considered a game no one played.

Im confused at this list. All those games were a commercial sucess giving install bases. I mean why dk tf over the highest rated game of the year (bayo)

Just because a game is rated higher doesn't mean it's better.

The gaming press is incredibly biased and gave DKC: TF lower scores just because it wasn't Metroid or because it was "only" a 2D game.

Bayonetta 2 on the other hand is an ugly looking game with a bad story/cutscenes and repetitive button mashing. Didn't like it at all... All my opinion of course. I'm not a big fan of hack & slash games. But I consider the game to be overrated.

DKC: TF has poor sales, that's why it won. 

This list makes no sense. These games didn't sell bad.
