Of course some argue that each version is a different GAME and that if we include them all together we should add all sales of Mario Kart in 7th gen together (as an example).

Wait how is Wii Sports different versions? It's the first game that was bundled with the system. Then later on, sold alone in other places. But Japan sold it alone from the start. As long as you're not talking about Resort. It's the same game. Regalrdess how it was bundled or not.

What? I'm talking about GTAV ...

Oh, you meant GTA V PS360 and GTA V PS4XB1 + PC. I'd count them together. The ports are only 1 year apart. And not like GTA V 20th anniversary port to 8K res or something.

Will account for less than 4% of overall sales (like 320k for Nov NPD).

You can subtract them and it'll still win. GTAV will sell upwards of 45m.

Eh, wasn't it bundled with the PS3 and PS4. So, technically it still falls under that bundle game category.

Kind of off topic but do we count games bundled digitally as a sale here?? Seeing as we dont tracck digital games.

GTAV will be the best selling standalone videogame on home consoles. That isn't cherrypicked to death and that's all it was ever going to be.

Incredible feat.

How would you define GTAV's position then?

I knew there were still people that downplay it's position/record. Facts are facts. GTAV will sell the most standalone copies of a videogame on home consoles of all time (and beat all handheld games too).
