You can see that Matrix beats Yôkai Watch, the biggest IP in Japan atm.

SO, if Matrix is a bigger IP than Yôkai Watch, the only thing Sony has to do is to ask let's say Platinum Games to make a Matrix Vita game. Vita will immediately sell zillions, destroy the Yôkais, overtake the 3DS and reign over the portable market!

Is this the Matrix of the Wachowski brothers? Outside of books and videogames, the last major release for the franchise was the Animatrix in 2003. I don't know if Japan is still interested in the franchise after that long.

A decent matrix game would be absolutely incredible though... makes me sad that it'll never happen.



Highest weekend box office doesn't have much meaning if that audience isn't interested in buying games.
