Because i wanna play.

I don't own one. I may get one later but right now and the foreseeable future, I don't expect to get one. Other than Uncharted 4, nothing else really makes me want to get the console.

Even though I started being a Sony fan last gen, they won me over due to showing countless time why they are the best in the business. The games last gen were very good and due to that, I'm expecting huge, unique games this gen from them. They had a weak lineup at launch but they are getting better. I buy a console for long term enjoyment.

Just got my PS4 today. Was a bitch to find when all major retailers had it as out of stock. Finally tracked a Destiny bundle at some smaller store that I had never heard of before.

PS1 delivered.
PS2 delivered.
PS 3 delivered...even if a bit late.
No reason to jump ship as far as I'm concerned. Even the PSP and PSV delivered for me, so I'm a happy camper.

Xbox system do not have enough JRPG games. It has too many FPS games. Dear Lord, i started playing FPS since Counter-Strike era until 2003. I'm sick of FPS games.

Also hardware failure rate on 360 was too fucking high, i was convinced not to buy Xbox brand ever again. When the PS2 came out, i bought two PS2 systems. One of my PS2 died after 5-6 years, and i still have the other one ALIVE and kicking ass here.

My brother who worked as a hardware engineer gave me an advice that i will never forget. He told me not buy hardwares from companies that do not know how to make hardwares. Microsoft is a software company, not hardware company, which is why they know nothing about hardware quality assurance. Microsoft have to completely rely on another company. This is not the case for Sony. Sony know how to make hardware so they know how to pick the best parts and they can get involved in hardware quality assurance plan with another company.

1) Because PS4 is the most powerful console

2) There is an incredible number of exclusive games. Today I updated my list:

I am a causal laidback player today so a console will do for the moment.

Ps4 had the best design and best hardware. Sony also have more games that appeal to me and MS DRM thoughts made the decision easy.

Sony always has more and better exclusives, imo. Plus i usually prefer Sony's product over MS's.

Playstation, I love it. Best piece of hardware, best 1st party devs, more variety in the exclusive games, better multiplatform games, great OS and new features, the share play is fantastic, and the new controller, wow, incredible, the best controller ever.
