Forums - Politics Discussion - Why Is the American media so hellbent on pointing fingers. but become silent when it comes to allies?

Some fingers need to be pointed.

Half of our issues are self made. Osama was funded and trained to fight the USSR. Cuba we tried to kill the guy a few times. Russia we have hated them since forever plus we put nukes right next to them. I mean if we would just stay the fuck out of peoples shit then everyone probably wouldnt hate us. Maybe. I understand sometimes you have to help the little guy out (South Korea, Israel, Iraq ...) but half of these peoples problems would be solved by just finding a new place to live. Would be nice if someone else stepped up and helped people out.

Saudi Arabia is an evil country. They fund terrorists, their country is awful, and the royal family take all the country's money And then they act like they are trying to "stop" terrorism when they are the biggest funders of it.

So much generalizing! How can a country be evil?

I meant the ruling royal family. Not all the people...

Um, I hate to break it to you, but America isn't going to wars to pay off debt...it's going to wars to get more debt.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

:3

Saudi Arabia is a special case because they effectively conquered the nation turning America into a glorified vassal state. Hence why America does little more than pander to their interests while doing everything in her power to topple any communist regime capable of resisting Islamofascism.

'everyone's opinion of you is low' really? then why is the USA the most popular country in the world to move to / immigrate to? your logic doesn't exactly make sense

also OP if you are too naive to understand that the whole WORLD does not like or trust North Korea then you are hopeless. they constantly threaten to blow countries up with nonexistant weapons (they don't posess any real current military technology). also, sorry but its hilarious you say that the USA has no reason to be annoyed when North Korea hacks sony- when the hackers referenced "9-11" and implied that if a movie was released in the USA a similar event would occur. I can't believe you are too slow witted to realize you mentioned 911/terrorists and didn't realize the hackers mentioned this

also Russia invaded their neighbors extremely aggressively as soon as they heard that the Ukraine was strengthening ties with the European Union. they did so to secure influence in the region and also to maintain their grip on the strategic military/navy port in crimea to the Black Sea. shocker, they did a similar thing to Georgia (the country) a few years ago

aggresive and irresponsible countries do deserve fair judgement and in this case both countries are unfriendly and unfair in a lot of their international policy. The USA do act as world police to some degree which I understand deserves criticism and they like Russia or anyone else are after their own interests- but all the same your OP post is extremely stupid in its implied point that Russia and North Korea do not deserve the response they get from the United States. They really really do

The Malaysian plane thing and then the Sony hack.

"RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT DID THIS" "NORTH KOREAN GOVERNMENT DID THIS!!"

But then we have Saudia Arabia which is the birth place of islamism and have constantly puked out alqaeda and Islamic group leaders everywhere. They just keep silent about it and just say "it's a minority issue with extremists! I love to suck the king cock in exchange for oil!"

Why create so many enemies when your allies are fucking you over the arsehole and making you their bitch for as long as I remember? Did nk or Russia constantly blow themselves killing your own people?  Did the "commies" do 9/11?  Did north Korea ever attack USA? Does putin constantly say "death to America death to Israel curse the jews victory to islam" ?

Americans love to create more enemies and love to love the ones they hurt them the most.

You guys are weird.

Everyone's opinion on you is low and terrible. Instead of going to fix things you just keep creating more enemies to go to war with. I understand it is because you want to spend your army somehow to pay the taxes and pay off that massive debt. But why a country that glorifies it's own "freedom of speech" is so propaganda driven?

oh and to your later points, if you truly do not believe EVERY country is full of propaganda in the government and media then you are naive. USA is less than some, and more than others, but for a country of its size it has more freedoms than any other. also if you understand how historically warfare actually boosts and helps the USA economy (military business sector has always been huge there) then you wouldn't be asked that last question. the USA debt is not really that terrible, especially when considering the majority of it is INTERNAL debt. you know what that means right? USA has borrowed from... guess who... THE USA (social security program)

about 10% of the debt is borrowed from China and 10% from Japan. its funny people constantly try to bring up that 'debt' thing when an ally of ours has the same exact amount lent to us as China, and when a vast majority, again, is internally borrowed. also the GDP of the USA every year is roughly the size of our dept; point? it would not be that difficult to pay off if programs were cut or changed. few other countries in the world could so easily eliminate debt

to sum it up, you speak of 'freedom of speech' yet in Russia there are something like 3 main media networks that ALL SAY THE SAME EXACT THING. you change the channel and its no different. USA may have its issues and corruption but at least there are plenty of of opposite opinions and political affiliations broadly allowed

actually a larger war historically has helped the USA economy. millitary sector is ginormous, with the majority of the worlds largest military contracting companies being based in the states

war is generally good for the USA economy, as sad as that may be
