I'm in Melbourne, but I'm now seriously reconsidering plans I had for a cafe lunch with a friend on Wednesday.

Visiting the outside world is scary enough for me (I have pretty serious OCD) without being worried about getting my head blown off by a maniac.

I too hope this is resolved peacefully; as far as I know, nobody has been hurt yet.

That's scary! I hope everyone can get out safely. On TV there were pictures of the actual man holding everyone hostage. If they can see him and they know he's the only one, why don't they just kill him or injure him so they can go in and arrest him?

Hate to see that. I said ISIS was too quiet, lately. What the heck do they have to gain by such a random attack? I hope the situation is resolved peacefully....except with a dead terrorist.
