Check statistics on family violence, violence against children in family, number of tax-funded shelters for women vs number of tax-funded shelters for men, then who has to leave home once divorce is mentioned (and why), who is treated guilty until proved innocent even if falsely accused in the eyes of law once even "fear of abuse" is claimed by the woman, and all things regarding familly court in general...and this is just scratching the surface. Just get your shovel and start digging.

Modern feminism has nothing to do with equality, and is militant abomination of once legitimate movement for equal rights. Until people figure this out and start supporting egalitarianism we'll be seeing much more of these misandristic trends in "modern" societies.

I have dug deeper it sounds like you haven't dug deep enough. Feminism did not make any of what you are saying. The people who make the laws, who are the judges, and who are the police are dominated by men. Unless you think women conviced all these men to make and enforce these laws against other men. The stereotype that women make better parents and that men are more violent was not created by women. That thought pattern has been going on for centuries when women had even less of a voice in society at large. You seem to have no clue  as to why there are more shelters for women than men. You probably think alimony is a joke too.

If you were truly egalitarian you would condemn the patriarchal trends that have been going on for centuries and support more matriarichal ideas coming in. Because I am sorry the balance is way off in the other direction. Most of the problems men face today have to do more with what other men have called for and their views not women's.

Alimony's not a joke, it's a disgrace. It acts as though we still live in a world where women cannot work.

I agree completely that there are serious social matters when it comes to the rights of men, which you yourself raised, and it IS something that should be addressed, and worked towards as a society. There have been instances of women, literally, stealing a man's sperm, impregnating herself, and then under law binding said man to provide normal biological father obligations, and their success rate in pulling this shit off is distressingly high.

But what drives me crazy (and this isn't directed at you, for the record,) are when people bring up 'Well, what about men's rights, huh?!' not as an actual avenue to, y'know, PURSUE the issue and fight for the rights of men, or even really discuss it outside the current context, but just as this sort of 'Yeah, see, WE have things wrong too, so shut up and stop complaining girlies.' As in, they only show concern for the rights of men when there's feminists to combat, and largely lose interest after the spectre has passed. It isn't even strictly about rights, as the only time I ever heard a man bring up the sexualization or objectification of men, by women, was when he was trying to use it as a 'Well, THEY do it, so we can too!' while showing no signs that such objectification actually bothered him in the slightest. If a guy is ACTUALLY bothered by any sexualization of men, then more power to him, but when it gets thrown up as an excuse, it just grinds my gears. =P

I would be entirely on board with a movement looking (in a calm, and reasonable manner, for the love of God,) to help support and advocate true equality, although I am super poor and uneducated, so my contribution is going to largely be limited to a 'Thattaboy?' and the occasional snazzy blog post. Equality IS something that needs to be strived towards, and neither gender is unequivocably coming out on top in every aspect, making 'Who's Worse Off?' largely a matter on which societal aspects one chooses to focus on. However, when the, as you put it, more militant feminists drown out the ones with actual, legitimate concerns (in the same way the Gamersgate Internet maelstrom drowned out a lot of solid discussion on matters such as gaming journalism ethics,) and then the militant opponents of the militant feminists ALSO jump in and clash with them, the Internet just collectively spins its wheels and makes helicopter noises, accomplishing dick all. -_-

Very well said. You seem like you could contribute a lot even if only words. Don't let your education or lack of money make you feel otherwise.

I have never agreed with a post harder. Not long ago I responded to a comment on how men are labeled rapist/pedophiles with little reason (and yes, it a response to the criticism of rape culture against women) and I pointed out how both genders suffer from such negative societal views. Instead of responding to the actual point of my post, the example I gave on how society condemns women as well was argued against instead. It was pretty frustrating, since I wasn't trying to blame any single gender and was attempting to advocate working together to fix these societal roadblocks. Unfortunately, it seems that people from both sides just want a clear antagonist and someone to point fingers at, even though it just creates a larger rift between genders and makes the backlash worse.

i'm just going to point out the 10 000 pound purple elephant in the room that people generally overlook:

equality between men and women is a joke because men and women are inherently different

men are generally more sexually driven, more physically powerful and more violent

whereas women are far more influential than men with regards to the sexual power that they have

yes there can be equal rights between men and women and we have achieved that; but this idea that we can achieve a utopia where men and women are equal is fundamentally flawed

and again this is an underlying flaw in feminism this idea that there are no significant inherent differences between men and women... that behavior is all conditioned by society

no... as with all things in existence there is a mixing of two extremes the environment and biology

LW2 has no business consulting on video games. She has admitted she's not a gamer and she was formerly employed by a professional pickup artist who talked about women in a derogatory manner.

the term sexual objectification is a joke with regards to how its used though

objectification is the reducing of an autonomous entity down to an object meaning that you disregard its mental and spiritual aspects

a man pursuing a woman with the primary intent of having sex with her because she has big tits or wide hips or whatever is not objectifying her

you do not pursue objects you take them and do what you want with them

the very act of pursuing a woman or catcalling her or whatever means that you acknowledge that she has mental capabilities that does not mean that its right though but its not objectification

the women who model and star in porn use their mental capabilities to determine that posing or having sex on camera will be profitable and so choose as an object cannot to take these roles

the thing that feminist do not realise is that by attacking women that make these choices they are actually oppressing women... the irony in feminism is lost on so many that it amazes me

however the women that are enslaved in sex trafficing are objectified and desperately need help and yet for the most part i see objectification being used for the most part with regards to events like catcalls and porn

this is why feminism is largely becoming a joke
