I game on all platforms, mainly a PC gamer, but currently I'm loving the Wii U, which is the one that gets the most playtime out of the three consoles since multiplats I play on PC.Don't get me wrong, I really like my PS4 and X1 but they haven't offered me as much as the Wii U as of right now. My family used to be in a really bad economic situation when I wash a child ,so I did not get my first console until I was five in 1997.My experience with the NES was something beatiful,I just couldn't believe that I was able to control that pixelated plumber on the screen, the NES gave me some amazing memories which I really cherish today. Next was my SNES, games like DK and Super Mario World made that console magical.Even though this was the last nintendo console I owned, up until the Wii U,I sort of stayed in touch with Nintendo since my neighbor whom was also my best friend had a N64.With him I also got to enjoy the GBA, NDS,GC and Wii. After the SNES was the otherworldly PS1,which completly changed the way I saw videogames, this was also the first time in which I had a big collection of games, since my PS1 was chipped(I know I was a bad kiddie pirate, but dont't hit me please. ) In 2004 after months of saving the money from chores I did for neighbors, got enough for the donwpayment of my PS2 which came with the 2 best games I could of wish for, R&C:GC and Jak 2 these two games completely redifined my standard for games, after I got to play those games almost any game I saw only looked "good."Overall I'd say the PS2 is the best console I've ever owned. It passed some time until 2009 when I moved to the U.S(I guess I forgot to mention I was Mexican lol) That I acquired my PS3.This piece of hardware is something that I had wanted for a long time, unfortunately due to school at the time, I didn't get to enjoy it fully until now.Well time passed I graduated from HS, decided not to go to college and do my own thing, furtunately for me everything went as planned and now I'm making more money than I ever thought I would have, basically living the American dream, or should say the gamers dream? Anyways we live in a wonderful time to be a gamer, we have 3 great consoles each offerring something unique to them,PS4 the strongest of current gen conoles with some amazing upcoming titles, the X1(my first Xbox console) which despite a slow start is turning out to be great(my god, halo is realy damn good now I see what all the fuss was about), and the Wii U with its always beatiful, always unique exclusives which instead of getting old are getting better everytime. We also have PC gaming which has been the best its ever been, having the best graphics of all platforms is also a big plus.
Lastly nice thread mate, I hope this can unite gamers for just a little bit and stop all this fanboy crap. -Best regards |
Good read, it is crazy remembering Mario as a kid, it was something else. I also grew up poor but my parents went out of their way to get us these units, which was very nice of them. After the Super nintendo I was working regularly and I bought systems then after. I remember when mortal Kombat 2 dropped on Super Nintendo. Also entering the code for Mortal Kombat 1 on sega genesis for blood because nintendo didn't have it.
Althought I grew up in the 80's, seems you had some of the same experience because my first console was the NES.
