Nintendo dominates the handheld market. If Sony couldn't manage to compete, I just can't see M$ being able to unless it's really reasonably priced ($149.99). Other than that, they would be better off releasing their content across mobile devices.

Not many would. Xbox IP's don't work on mobile, as proven by Halo: Spartan Assault.

I'm imagining the Vita but without the support of Japanese developers. I can honestly say that I would never buy a Microsoft handheld and I highly doubt that there is a market for such a device.
