Handheld systems need remakes, and while Zelda is nice for 3DS, it's not enough. Yes there is Pokemon as well, but no more then before.

As for original 3DS games vs GBA, it's still a lot less. Remember GBA had massive games like Earthbound (all 3 if you import and patch), Final Fantasy main series, Dragon Quest, Tactics Ogre, Breath of Fire, Metroid, 3x Donkey Kong remakes, 2x Golden Sun, 3x Fire Emblem, 2x Advance Wars, plus a ton of smaller games like Shining Force, Onimusha, Phantasy Star remakes, Sword of Mana and other Square enix remakes, 3x F-Zero, 4+ Mario remakes, etc.

As for 3rd party, WiiU has less then what SNES had and probably less then N64/GCN as well. Plus of lot of it is meh, like Disney Infinity. Gamecube had True Crime, where is Saints Row or GTA for WiiU?

Dragon Quest for 3DS almost certainly coming? VII never localized, how can you say that. Plus most of the games you mentioned are already out (never said 3DS was a bad system), what does 3DS have that's coming?

For MK, we disagree, and I think Wii/DS were runaway success's for a reason. Plus no true Battle mode.... MK8 is still better then Wii though, don't know why you choose to swear at me here.

You don't have to agree with me, and I don't need to argue my point. WiiU has 3 main games releasing IMO, Zelda, XenoBlade, and Starfox. They all look great, but Nintendo needs to do more then more of the same to save itself. There is nothing original IMO, not like Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube, or Wii Sports and the originalo XenoBlade for Wii, or even just the Mario Party and Smash Bros spinoffs like on N64. WiiU has nothing destinct, just the same as before, but with 4 player co-op (which is why I own a WiiU).

You flat out admit you're contradicting yourself. You want new things, but you also complain when there's not enough remakes, and the new things you count aren't even new, they're things like Mario Kart. Fun, excellent spinoffs, but not utterly new IP like what you seem to really be looking for with Wii U. Speaking of MK, Wii and DS were a runaway success because of the systems they were on, not because the courses were exact replicas. They have a worse attach rate. I'll give you the battle mode though, that was unforgivable. Don't look too much into the swearing, that was more passion for MK8 and dumbfoundedness that anyone dislikes the changes to the remade courses than any real anger. I just don't understand your viewpoint at all, aside from Wii U's third party situation. I think if you give it time it'll all turn out okay. Even more so for the 3DS. Maybe not DS/Wii era in sales, but still solid systems worth owning.

I never said that I was contradicting myself, don't make stuff up because you disagree.

Remakes for handhelds, I want to play all my favorite games (or the ones I missed) while on the go.

I would consider Mario Kart a new IP back during the SNES. It's basically Nintendo's best selling franchise. Also attach rate means nothing, if it did Gran Turismo 5 should never have sold more then Gran Turismo 2 & 4. As for retro tracks, I loved the Upscaled remakes, what Mario Kart 8 has is retro themed imspirations. Toadstool Turnpike feels nothing like what it did before, it's basically a new track, and it's sad to see it named after something I love. Just imagine an RPG, but the bosses and levels were changed, is it still the same RPG?

WiiU's situation won't turn around, it's going to mirror N64 and Gamecube because when Nintendo designed the WiiU they didn't ask for the input of 3rd parties (again) and many companies (like Bethesda) won't develop for Nintendo out of sheer spite.

I never said the WiiU/3DS aren't worth owning, I love 4 player GP mode in MK8 and 4 player SM3DW among other games. WiiU is still the local co-op platform of choice, and 3DS is still a great handheld (especially for Zelda fans who were too young during the N64 era). It's just not what it used to be. I used to own an N64 and SNES as a primary console, now WiiU (like Wii and Gamecube) just don;t have enough content to keep me happy as a main console. I mean 3 big games per year (Xeno, Zelda & Starfox) are not enough. Yoshi and Kirby are nice games too, but $60 is a lot of money, I'd rather get something like Uncharted 4 for PS4 instead. It's nice to own 2 consoles, you get a higher cut-off for quality.

3DS is also a nice console, but I do the Most Wanted secton for this site, and before Zelda was announced/after Pokemon & Smash released, it was getting almost no votes. There is no hype for 3DS's upcoming games. Yes Bravely Second and Codename Steam will likely be great, but BS might not even release until 2016, the volume of games is very very low compared to GBA. I mean for GBA I have about 50 games, 50 games from 3 years. 3DS I have about 8 now after 3 years, and I'm maintaining the same standard for quality (Mind you, I'd have 10 if I were a big Zelda fan).

I said you were contradicting yourself because the original argument was about lack of new stuff and you started complaining about there not being enough remakes. Didn't make sense to me. I really don't think a track in Mario Kart is that comparable to an RPG. But whatever, you like the old better for nostalgic reasons, okay. And I'm never going to agree with you about 3DS and GBA. The site has it as having 500 less games than the GBA, yet if I had every game I'm interested in for both 3DS already has more games, and I also have the same quality standards for both. And the same goes for Wii U. I owned a Gamecube and a PS2. I have more Gamecube games by far. I own a Wii U and have several games for it, but haven't gotten a PS4 or XBO yet because there's maybe 3 games on each I'd even think to touch. PS4 will start to catch up if I count third parties for it, but I doubt it will ever surpass Wii U for me in terms of how much enjoyment I get out of it.

And Dragon Quest will make it. Bravely Default was even less likely and it made it, and it did fantastically. And Operation Rainfall is supporting DQ now. Square Enix has already responded saying they're considering it. You'll see.

I disagree, Dragon Quest is already a 3 year old game, but I hope you're right.

WiiU and 3DS I'm meh, WiiU is great, but just another Gamecube to me, and that console needed more games. 3DS is the worst of the handhelds, but the worst of the best is still great.

Another game for the 2015 WiiU lineup that I´m looking foward is Project CARS

Interesting to notice that WiiU owners seem a lot more interested in this game than PS4 and Xbox1 owners. Take a look on the game´s website pool . Wii U owners are on 1st with 27,8 %, then Windows and Steam, with 23 % PS4 18% and Xbox1 7%. I won´t be a surprise if the WiiU version sells at least the same as the others
