all fairly casual titles

You are being elusive. They are broad appeal titles not casual the same certain mini games are casual. Wii sports and wii play is the exact type of entertainment smart devices offer.

I am not ignoring the Wii, gamers and publishers are because its legacy is toxic.

Wii sports had pretty broad appeal. Truth be told I miss the days that you get drunk with just about anyone and play some wii sports.

Your playing with your definition of casual which is apparently mini games to you whereas I see someone who only ever buys FIFA and maybe GTA when it comes out as someone with casual interest in gaming.

The Wii won the 7th console generation.

Vague term. You should define what a gaming generation is then and ultimately that gets us to the same question.

The Wii sorely went after a specific crowd, with a specific type of software and has a toxic legacy as a brand. It lost gamers. It lost publishers.

That's you. "Casual gamers" is pretty much self explanatory. You might look down on Fifa but the people that play it are loyal (as costumers) and commited (as gamers) as it comes. Can you say the same about Wii Fit U for Wii U  ?

double post.

dont see how ps3 comeback was so great
it was amazing in america the comeback it maade
but in japan and europe and worldwide it sold really really good from day 1 mostly
i mean nearly every year from its release it outsold the 360 despite the 360 having a year on advanatage and the snowball effect ( 9m is a difficult thing to overcome )

Just because the Wii is not HD does not mean it was not first last gen.

No it wasn't, it was not a competing console. It went after a different crowd with different software.  I can't see how you can put them in the same race as the PS3 and 360. It sold casual electronic entertainment.

You can't expect recognition for running alone.

You might be shocked to find out that Sony and microsoft also provide casual electronic entertaintment.

Yes, and Apple also provided mobile devices that played video games.

Dominated what ?  Answer that.

The Wii won the 7th console generation. Fill in the blank.

As I said it went after the casual crowd and ended up losing marginally to smart devices. And who the fuck said I was sticking up to the PS3, is tu quoque the only argument tactic you know ?

It's like you don't realize the PS2 sold over 150 million on the backs of the very "casual" crowd the Wii stole from it. The Wii was absolutely competing with the PS3, for the PS2 audience.

And Sony definitely wanted that PS2 audience, that's why the PS3 was a Blu Ray player.

And you know this how exactly? Who says there wasn't a Blu Ray player to push the Blu Ray format?

7th console generation is vague but casual gamers is self explanatory?

Boy this is silly. Don't quote me, I don't want to continue this conversation.

Same way the PS2 pushed the DVD format. Both were to sell more players to make Sony more money. The same request applies to you, though. Don't quote me again.

It was like 5 million

Yeah Im out too, getting way off topic lol.
Id have to say PS3 considering it's price and how badly it seemed to be going. It definately turned it around the most.
