^^Glad to hear it's not that difficult! Now I think I will actually buy sometime down the line.

Was in the Bloodborne Alpha and know I'm not buying that lol, couldn't get past the first big area...

I was in the Bloodborne alpha too! How can you not buy this game it's awesome!

Well you know, when I couldn't kill that first big beast near the stairs or get past that first big mob area with the big gate, that's a good confirmation that this game is not for me

They said they are adding easy mode for people like you and me...

And this topic gave me strength to push on a little bit more. Come to think of it, if the game takes about 15 hours, with my skills it's about 45 hours. So I get triple my money's worth

A few tips that might help you along the way

Circle around enemies and then attack when they do, this tactic works on most enemies even boses if you are careful. And you can get back stabs that will one shot weaker enemies.

For the big sheild enemies spells/gaultlets are a good tactic as they perice through their block.

Invest a couple points into endurance, getting your stamina up allows you to be a lot more agressive and also absorb more hits when blocking. Also keep in mind your stamina recovers slowly when you are blocking, drop your block when you can to restore it quickly.

If your potions are running low run back to a checkpoint and heal yourself, and recover some of your pots. This won't respawn the enemies if you stay in the same area, and also won't reset your EXP multiplier.

And watch out for archers, they will ruin your day if you aren't careful. Especially when they set you on fire. Try and pick them off.

Thank you for all the tips. I do use some of those, especially circling -- learned the hard way with the Commander boss, but I finally beat him after failing miserably for over an hour...

I need to practice that attack when they do, they usually just damage me. My biggest problem is stamina, I forget about it, start attacking and then get creamed once it runs out...

Have you worked out the combo points of your weapon? If you hit attack just at the end of your swing it will only use half stamina. Try practicing a bit in an area without enemies, when you do it right there will be a glint effect on your stamina bar. Also for most enemies you probably want to back off after a couple hits anyway.

Thanks for all the tips... Played a bit more, got to the third boss, but I think I'll just stop there. I'll keep the game installed just in case I decide to come back to it later, I just don't find it fun anymore...

Not my type of game, too difficult, too much work for even the smallest amount of progress, no fun in that. Maybe in another life...
