MMC gonna be huge, its launch time is perfect for the holidays, gets people a reason to buy an X1 that they know they're going to love and have a shit load of content to play while other games start to pop out for the system.

i highly doubt any core halo fan wouldn't get it for the MCC. Hell many Halo fans bought an X1 at launch. I reckon 90% of the people who have their minds set on an X1 right now for Halo will get it for the MCC or have already got it.

Yes many are but honestly any real fan of that series that is waiting to get an x1 for halo will get it either for MCC or will have it already. Now just incase it needs to be pointed out that last sentance is not fact but my opinion :)

Well, we heard that one before with Halo ODST, which moved consoles, Halo: Reach which moved consoles and even Halo 4 which moved consoles.

thats a tad too high.

yeah way too high. basically i'm saying most of it's boost will come long before halo 5 week. which over all is a pretty big boost. imagine how small sales would be of the X1 if Halo never existed.

i's say that was more to do with RROD causing people to rebuy it. Why do you think MS banned a shit tin of people for jtag or something like that, everytime the new cod was coming around? Because they knew most of them would buy another. 360 sales were inflated big times in a number of ways. Anyway you won't have that with the X1 before halo 5. 

 

Look at the boost Halo 3 in the US. Wasn't it like 300k for 1 week alone? I highly dount the Halo 5 boost will be anything like Halo 3. Especially considering the MCC is out a full year before.

Since Halo 3 sold like 12m, Halo 4 and halo reach 10m each and there isnt even 10m Xbox Ones sold yet then 90% wouldnt even be close.  And if you were to believe that then you would think that Halo MCC is going to have a 100% attach ratio this holiday.

However, of course some people are buying the Xbox One because the promise of Halo.  Just like people are buying the PS4 for the promise of Uncharted 4, or WiiU the promise of Smash Bros 4.  Yet in all three of these situations you can expect big boosts when these games releases.
