Proper DLNA support coming.

Enough said.

This is already in with the Media Player correct?

Only via play-to. The new update has a DLNA browser so you only need a NAS or something similar, no need to ue your PC at all.

I dont even use play to anymore from the PC. I can browse and get all my media directly through the Media Player from the Xbox One. So is there another update coming thats going to improve this even further?

My bad, I thought you meant windows media player.

Are people really complaining about monthly updates that fans from the Xbox feedback site are asking for?

To be honest these are getting a bit ridiculous. Why have an update every few weeks.... just get it right first time. The dashboard that shipped was honestly a good 2 maybe even 3 months away from what it should have been.

You are actually complaining about improving a product for free. Wow.

Plus most of the games were short, buggy and sometimes unplayable.

O.O hahaha, right. I won't even name today's awful games and money makers.

Don't. Games over the years have improved in every aspect you can think of.

Money makers? Why not? Publishers and Devs are in the business to succeed. If gamers didn't enjoy or found value in their software it wouldn't sell gangbusters.

Law of supply and demand. People game more now than ever.

Since when does ANYONE making software "get it right the first time" LOL.

But yeah man the abundance of these free, awesome updates is just ridiculous. Who does Microsoft think they are?

No. You cant yet search for a networked source direct from the xbox one to stream music. The update will allow this.

I can go to my Xbox One and load up the Media Player and browse all of my media ( Videos, Music and Pictures. ) and play all of my media directly from the Xbox One. It also plays MKV files. I do not have to use the Play To anymore from the PC like I use to.

Are you in the preview program?

Are you talking about an external drive connected by usb or from a PC?

I'm taking about a remotely situated NAS drive containing all media.

Ok, its because I am in the preview program. I thought this had already went live for everybody. My bad.

that would explain it....

You should register or get someone to invite you. Joining the preview program is probably the best decision I've made with my Xbox One. Was doing some of the quests and found out that this month's update brings a "find my controller" feature.
