Forums - Gaming Discussion - Grave on Xbox One is a ‘non-exclusive agreement’, Dev’s ‘sights firmly set’ on PS4

Last week saw Broken Window Studios release a brand new demo for its upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible survival horror title, Grave. The demo, which allowed Kickstarter backers to experience brand new content from the title, was a sign that the full experience is on track to release in the first quarter of 2015 on PC, Mac and Linux with full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). An Xbox One version is also set to arrive around the same time, but what about a PlayStation 4 release?

“The Xbox One is the first console platform to officially support Grave and is a non-exclusive agreement,” the developer revealed in the press release for the new demo, “so we are working towards bringing Grave to other consoles, with our sights set firmly on PS4. We will provide mode information as it becomes available.” Of course, the hope is that with Oculus Rift support on PC, Mac and Linux, a PlayStation 4 version of Grave would support the upcoming Project Morpheus HMD, though this wasn’t mentionned.

Grave is a first-person open world experience in which players must survive against hordes of horrific enemies that attack at night. This is down by using light sources such as matches as weapons. The stronger the light source, the more deadly it is to an enemy. The title features a day-night cycle, meaning players will explore during the day and ready themselves to fight enemies by night.

VRFocus will continue to follow Grave’s progress going forward, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
