Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do Multplatform Games Push Xbox One More Than PS4?!

I'm confused, a lot of people on this site said multiplatform games do not push Xbox One sales. People said Watchdogs on PS4 is living proof that people buy PS4 for all their multiplatform needs. Those people are completely wrong.

In fact, Madden NFL boosted Xbox One by about 85% while the PS4 only saw a 15% boost. Should we conclude that gamers prefer Xbox One multiplatform games to PS4 multiplats? Sure Destiny will push more PS4 systems with the bundle. BUT Call of Duty is on track for the Xbox One to outsell the PS4 version 2-1 according to preorders on this site. I've always had supersticion when people claimed PS4 sold because of multiplats. The people that claim PS4 gets a larger percentage boost from new releases are cherrypicking games and lying to each and one of you homies.

If you talk relatively, everything is more on X1 because of the much smaller base.

Watch Dogs did only boost PS4 sales 53% worldwide (if you believe VGchartz) but that's still 70,000 more PS4 consoles from 130,000-200,000 (week 1) while while Madden only helped xbox sell 30,000 consoles from 50,000-80,000.

Nope, Madden is the only time when a multi plat game pushed XB1 more than PS4, however PS4 was still getting a boost for TLOU:R so the sales were still high, while XB1 sales were very low the week before Madden came out

You use one example and it's a very poor one, considering WD didn't even have an official PS4 bundle like Madden does for XBone. How about, instead of immediately resorting to calling people liars in a feigned attempt to get your point across, we all actually wait and see how much the Destiny bundle pushes PS4 hardware. Same goes for CoD. It will most likely sell better on XBone for the simple fact that that is also getting an exclusive XBone bundle. Let us not forget that Ghost on PS4 outsold the XBone version by a fairly large margin, despite MS's exclusive marketing rights and the early content on XB.

Also, despite all the marketing and bundling, the PS4 version of Madden 15 still managed to edge out the XBone version. Go figure.
