Forums - Nintendo Discussion - After the Wii U disaster, will you buy Nintendo's next console?

Anything that sells worse than the original Xbox and Gamecube is considered a disaster, but we can't call a Wii U that yet.

And yes, I would.

Wii U has an awesome catalogue right now. When Nintendo's situation looks dire, is when they shine the most. I think they'll learn from this gen's mistakes and kick ass in the next one. And if they don't... Then I'll still buy it due to collection purposes.

If I am alive and have the money, sure, I will buy another Nintendo console one day, because the WiiU is awesome and adorable. They should have more games that use the gampepad though, cause it is really unique and, like the Wii, does not neeed power to be cool.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

You should thank Sony and Microsoft for the Wii not Nintendo.

Because of all the competition from Sony and MS Nintendo could not release another powerful console after the last 2 powerful ones failed. N64 and GC.
Evem MS and Sony decided to go mediocre this gen after the last high end generation was not as successful as it could have been. This time they wanted profit as fast as possible.

You either make a powerful console
Or you make a powerful and revolutionary console
Or you make a "weak" and revolutionary console.

When
1. is risky
2. is extremely risky and can break your neck.
3. is not so risky

TBH sony and MS have every other department helping other departmens in case of some financial problems or whatever. Nintendo cant do it (TBH it should be illegal because that is unfair business practice that lead tos monopolies.)

I still have not gotten a Wii U yet, however it makes me feel great that Nintendo won't abandon its products just because they are not selling how they would like for it to sell. They will continue to put games out for it, and focus on the audience that have bought their system.

I hated it because; controller, online, UI, and the huge amount of casual shovelware.

I really doubt you'll be done with console gaming after this gen.

The disaster of having a ton of exclusive games that are my favorite series? Yeah, I'll be getting the next one.

DO you mean Iwata, or actually Miyamoto? And if so, why?

I agree with you sir, but I wouldn't mind if he keeps doing some games
