Forums - Gaming Discussion - WII U true failure is not the console or games.

MikeRox said:
It's still got the best 8th gen home console lineup. Whether that is a positive for the Wii U, or just how pathetic the first 12 months have turned out to be for the XB1 and PS4 you can decide.

The problem with this argument?
This year in general even in PC gaming was pretty dry with Triple A's the majority of them aren't coming until later this year and early next year What does WiiU have?

A padless SKU would split the audience, further damaging Wii U. But entry level SKUs with a smaller U pad would drive costs and entry price down, making at the same time happy those that want to spend less and those that feel the original U pad is too large.

Oh I wasn't saying the Wii U lineup had been any better. Though how did you miss Mario Kart and Smash Bros from your list? o_O

But it still has the better lineup to date.

Derp for Mario Kart, you're using backwards dates and quoting upcoming releases. Most of your top list are Vita games though so irrelivent in the inferior locked to a single room/TV war :D

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Nintendo has been very stubborn on this issue. But I think that sooner or later they'll sell a padless Wii U. I think it would be better now in the beginning of the generation than later (like the Wii mini). At the end of the generation the impact will be much lower.

Sorry I'm not sure what you're point is(But it still has the better lineup to date.?!?!?!?!??!?!?!). It's clear that PS4 and XBone have a better future lineup.

Mario Kart was already released in May.

What has that got to do with whether the Wii U has a solid lineup though?

Wii U owners seem pretty happy with the games they have, particularly 1st party, to the point where they don't touch 3rd party software anyway. So to them it's not exactly a failure is it?

LOL sure. If you want to live in Fantasy land and call that a Solid Lineup of Games than go ahead.

Everybody knows Nintendo is failing in the Home Console Market.
games that don't drive sales to a point like Sony had since PSone just proves that Nintendo's supposedly Solid Lineup has no weight.

It's not a fantasy land, it's reality that at the moment, the Wii U gets more playtime than my PS4 purely because it's got more games I want to play than the PS4 has.

I know it'll change in time, but no amount of software releases for the PS4 are ever going to take away the fun I've had with Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong, Pikmin 3, NSMB U, Mario Kart etc.

Very few of those PS4 games will ever be as good either.

Nothing but subjective opinions.
This is why Nintendo will always be Second best or lower in terms of sales.

Nintendo's home console gets less relevant in gaming and they will continue to do so this generation.

What other opinions are there?
