Can someone please explain to me why Destiny is viewed as the Second Coming? To me it looks like Halo and CoD took turns gang raping WoW.

What's the big deal? And I'm dead serious, I missed the beta because of personal problems. I'd really like to know why I should buy this game.

It's hyped, but from what I've seen so far, it's a reasonable amount of hype, considering the fact that it simply looks amazing, and from what I've heard, the gameplay is awesome.

Reasonable hype. Not overhype.

So you understand that Destiny is a mix of the most popular games of all time and you're telling me you don't know where the hype is coming from?

Beta was insanely fun...and didn't fall....

I can't wait to play it, I don't think it's overhyped as I thought the Beta was an insane amount of fun.

I found the game dull to be honest (played in alpha and beta), definitely not going to be on my shopping list.

funnily enough i just made a post in the PSNAtion about Destiny only to see this thread right after it lol. 

@OP: the game is from one of the best developers in the world, it has great ambition and those who played the beta loved it. 

Whenever I see something on the side of a bus it pretty much means overhype.
Oddly there have been no Destiny bus side ads YET.

But yeah so far it has been above average hype, not quite overhyped yet, well to me at least.

They definitely need more content but the game was really fun. Had a blast playing on the moon, tho it sucked moon was only unlocked for such a short time. I think it has the right amount of Hype. You could probably argue that Titanfall and especially Halo are over hyped(titanfall was because it was seriously lacking in content and ya basically paid $60 for a multiplayer/match making mode that felt like it was ripped out of a fuller more complete game that the devs misplaced, and it got old quick. Had it had MMO aspects it would have lived up to its hype. Halo is over hyped because we know zero about it still, people have moved on from the franchise, it's lost it's magic since Bungie left and the best thing about it is the tv show spin off that so far looks like scyfy flick with less quality than sharknado.)
