Why are people complaining about this port but dying to get their hands on GTA5 for next gen platforms :^)

I mostly see PC fans excited. Idk why someone would be excited for the next gen versions if they played it last year.

me because I like the more stable and better looking version and prefer DS4 and prefer PS4's online.  Plus when they announce a remaster I just sell the PS3 copy before the general public knows (yes even after E3) and offset the cost mostly.  I sold my steelbook for the PS3 version of TLoU for $100 so that is a profit for me.

LOL the dev is using a random figure like multiplayer users? That proves that it was an unwanted remasterake. If they had good sales they would be boasting about having record sales, not some random number like "multiplayer participants".

From the sounds of it, TLOU multiplayer wasn't popular to begin with, so it was obviously gonna be easy to pass it.

So the standard for a remaster to be considered wanted it to break sales records now?

I guess it's really difficult for some people to accept, even though Sony had officially confirmed it, that about 1/3 of PS4 owners never owned a PS3. TLOU:R is aimed particularly at these people. And given TLOU has sold to less than 10% of PS3 install base it's a pretty good bet that a fair few PS4 owners who did own PS3 didn't get around to picking up TLOU.

No one is saying TLoU is a bad game. In fact, it's a really good game. However, this "remaster" was simply overhyped, and so far it doesn't appear as though consumer demand is matching that hype.

weak PR

There's a lot of hate for TLOU:R. Let's be honest, most of it is from people that don't own a PS.
It's no different than a game releasing on multiple platforms. eg. Titanfall, Fifa, Battlefield etc

I wonder how many of the people complaining are the same people that had a go at Sony for not having EA Access and not giving the players "a chance to decide for themselves" if they want it.

Well let people decide for themselves it they want TLOU:R.

I thought they got that figure from new online accounts made on PS4, which wouldn't be the same thing as "never owned a PS3".

Umm it's been out for like a day and a half? And they've already said that the preorders were looking good.

The multiplayer is surprisingly lot of fun by the way, from the sounds of mostly everyone who played it.

There is mroe in 8 months on ps4 then 1.5 years on wii-u...The ps4 library in 1 year will dwarf wii-u in over 2.
