Forums - General Discussion - Why the world is stupid.

I plan to update this a few times, but it's true, we, the world, are stupid.

This Israel Gaza conflict going on is brutal. Do a twitter search and you'll see hundreds of pictures of heads of children blown up and bloody.

Israel are going all out world war 3 style attack on a country that only has the military capacity of homemade rockets.

Israel are precision lazer attacking with military jets. What they do is, from what i've gathered, is shoot a minor flashbang-style rocket onto an area and wait 120 seconds for any residents to clear the area. They then shoot with multiple missile drones onto a single area. They have shot down a disabled mental health facility earlier today, killing all but few residents.

The Gaza residents have realised if they gather a large number of people to stand in the spot where the warning fire happens, Israel will cease fire on that missile.  Why?

I did a bit of research into this, and it leads into the summary of all this basically. The United Nations have a rule where during a cross-country war, you are only allowed to kill a specified number of civillians based on many factors including country size before you are punished.
The punishment being banishment from world cups, other sporting events, and basically other stuff including trade that would result in less money for the country.

Seriously? So you're allowed to kill a certain number of innocents before you should stop and avoid financially ruining your country. Are we humans literally condeming the murder of innocent children, children who grew up saying 'I dream of being a pilot or an astronaut'

I'm not gonna take sides here, I think it's clear who's the villain here, however we may have differing opinions based on our relations, where we were born and what sides we have heard in the media.

But I think war and murder is wrong, and we need a change in global policies to avoid blood shed of senior citizens or children, or any other civilians. Will we ever live in a time of peace where every country can happily trade and respect the decisions of others?
The planet is running out of resources such as coal and oil, and has been estimated by some to last for only a couple hundreds of years at most. Water levels are rising and some islands are preparing for overflow in the next hundreds of years.

We are doing more damage than good and for the sake of land and oil, and we should stop killing each other and bombing our precious earth. It has done nothing to us but give us life, a place to live, survive and thrive and advance. Well, we're heading into turmoil, we have only one planet that we can physically live on, and we settle on destroying it to prove a point.

I hate the world, it is a piece of (choose word here)

Around the Network

This is part of the reason I don't like politics: it's all bad news and shitty situations.

But look at this! The world has harp seal pups! Surely a world with cute baby seals can't be all that bad.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Its really sad. I feel really bad for the poor people in Gaza. Nobody ever says anything when Israel does something wrong.

I feel bad for most countries in that area.

True. Syria is in a civil war and Iraq is being taken over by extremist militants.
