Mega evolutions is a dumb gimmick to me, though Mega Sceptile looks cool

Says the guy with a Sonic avatar and sig. :P

(Hope I don't come across as rude, not my intention)

I dont get it, but seriously, what is the point of Mega Evolution? It is like they want a 4th stage but are not commited to it so fan favorites so far seem to be pin pointed for this treatment.

Mega evolution isnt 4th stages, Mawile+Kangaskhan both pokemon have no evolution. Also its a good new mechanic as everybody can use just once per battle and adds more depth. Alot actually.

OT: I kno i need to add more stuff to op. Like Mega Sableye/trailers/etc. I'll be updating more tonight, if i miss anything by tomorrow pls let me kno!

Most mega evolutions are allowed but a few (Gengar, Kagaskhan, and Blazekin) got banned this is mostly due to there abilitys that they have when in mega form. Mega pokemon also get a significant increase in there base stats so they are slighlty better then the average pokemon.

That only adds to my point. So a nice chunk of our ME's are already banned due balance issues. Theyre not competitively fair and create a Evil Ryu/Akuma situation where they functiona(doesnt mean you cant beat them)l better than others leading mass adoption of them by players. So in a game where competitive is major point... Why create something unusable?

Your not into competitive battlling so you dont understand (trying to help, not bash). Mega Evolution isnt overpowered. only 3 pokemon that have become mega's are banned, but there are plenty of others banned that arent mega's as well.

Also many pokemon are better than mega's. Each team can choose to do mega evolution once. It adds more depth and are by no means unbalancing th game. If they were you hear it all over the internet especially with smogon (a pokemon dedicated competitive site).

Ex: Rotom+talonflame (not mega's) are better >>>>> 90% of mega pokemon lol!

And how exactly do you know I'm not into competitive battling? Hint: why would I be asking ME's in competitive battling. This could just honest questions for someone who just rejumped into 6 six and plotting roster.

I kno cuz you think mega's are overpowered lol! If you needed help you could just ask

It was a topic llong ago if mega's would ruin the metagame, and it turns out it just made it better... How?

I'll start off by saying pokemon is broken down into "tiers" (Smogon comes up with this which 99% competitors use). Ubers is the highest (and its for banned pokemon) and it contains mostly legendary pokemon with a BST of 670+ (BST=Base Stat Total), of course there are some to powerful for the next tier OU that get bumped into Ubers such as Exacdrill with An ability "Sand Rush".

There are currently 28 mega's released (not couting the new ones coming in the new games) and out of them all 6 are ubers (mewtwo both forms cuz of obvious reasons, and Kangaskhan/Blaziken/Gengar/Lucario) but dont forget even blaziken regular with speed boost is banned. The other 22 are not all in the OU tier.

That said mega evolution's add 100 to a pokemon BST and potentially change typing/abilities, but at the cost of a hold item. Ex: Garchomp>>> Mega Garchomp despite Mega Garchomp BST = 700 and regular Garchomp = 600.

Lastly, if mega evolution is unfair then anybody can argue that legendary pokemon (minimum of 580 BST and most are 600) and the pseudo legendary suchas Dragonite+Tyranitar shouldnt be in the metagame.

BST=/= Enitre Metagame... Its BST+Ability+Typing+Combinations that do

Lets see 1 mega per team right?

Mega Evolution's will be in 2nd post, added Diancie will add Sableye later and Primal Devolution

I'll be posting there info too. I think i'll be doing mega evo predictions soon.

There are 2 pokemon that will potentially have mega's due to team magma+aqua leaders having mega rings on them.

People are saying Camterupt and Sharpedo

Holy shiiit. Primal Kyogre is HUGE! It went from 4.5m to 9.8m!!

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.
