Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Battlefield Hardline aiming to run At 1080p/60fps On Xbox One - parity with ps4 version

Visceral Games will be aiming for parity between the PS4 and Xbox One versions.

Visceral Games are working on the next entry in the Battlefield franchise which will be titled Hardline. Although different in theme than the main Battlefield series, it will still remain true to the roots that the the franchise is known. GamingBolt was able to get in touch with Ian Milham who is the Creative Director on Battlefield: Hardline at Visceral Games.

Battlefield Hardline is already confirmed to be running at 1080p and 60fps on the PlayStation 4, so where does that leave the Xbox One version? Ian confirmed to us, that ‘it should be the same.’

“If you look at the games that Visceral Games has made before, we have always strive for total parity between our platforms,” Ian explained. “Of course, the PC version, it will do whatever your PC can handle, and the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will obviously not be as high res as compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version. But those two [PS4 and Xbox One] should be locked in together.”

Battlefield Hardline will be available later this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3 and PC. Stay tuned for more news and updates.

Perhaps it won't be long till we say all games on Xbox One being 1080p and 60fps.

Promises made, but promises kept?

We'll see about that... we'll see...

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Go Xbox One!

We'll see, i still doubt this because they couldn't do this for the last year title.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

I find it interesting in the 60fps vs 30fps and 1080p vs 720p debate that we have forgotten that's not all their is not the visual quality of a game.

Developers may reduce the in game detail, reduce the scale of the game or have decreased draw difference to reach 60fps/1080p.

The game may also suffer from performance issues if the game performs beyond the consoles capability.

But nonetheless I will be picking up a copy of this game for my PS4 later this year. As long as it turns out fun of course.

This is the Game of Thrones

I very much doubt that.

On PS4 the beta doesn't even run at 1080p and is still 900p.

i hope they are talking about it being 1080p 60fps here, not the entire visual filidty of the game. PS4 version shouldn't be held back because XB1 is weaker.

Hardline is small scale compared to BF4. Both versions were bound to have better "specs" than BF4 because it is less demanding.

... and I still don't care about the game.

Yes. Totally unrealistic to expect better performance from a launch game to a game where devs got used to hardware and devkit.
