Techland Finally ditch from the project that apparently took development straight after the original sold 3 million in its first months.  New developers Yager known for 'Spec Ops' have taken over the series, after Techland was "taking the series nowhere". The DLC idea Riptide realised last year received mixed reviews claiming it was just a "copy and paste, not addressing any previous issues". Techlands relationship is unknown with the publishers Deep Silver, as they have now gone into competition with each other. Dying light has been push back, with its new release date of 2015 alone with Dead Island 2. Zombie vs Zombie who will come out on top.

2015 will give us our answer. Now who’s EXCITED. 

i hope its better than the 1st... im not realy hyped, the first game was realy bad.

I loved both previous games, they were awesome co-op fun.
Spec Ops: The Line is my favorite last-gen FPS, it was an excellent, but sadly overlooked game.

I am mega-hyped for this game, and I'm getting it day one for sure, whenever that is.

i really liked the first game, hope they improve on the story and story telling, and improve on the gameplay which was already fun.

though i cant see how this will be much different from dying light or what ever game they are making. guess we will have to wait and see.

I must say that I really enjoyed Dead Island: Riptide more than the original. It just felt like a more refined version, checkpoints were improved and I enjoyed the look of the overall setting. My biggest issue is GPS bread crum trail is a disaster and the boat sequences were shit easier to walk.

Spec Ops The Line was an average third person shooter BUT the story is what separated it from the competition. One of the more interesting stories in gaming. I'm definitely excited for Dead Island 2 and if Yager put the same effort they put into the game as they did Spec Ops it will be something good.

This game sounded like an accident when it was announceed at Sonys Press Conference, Techland already has Dying light coming out, how many Zombie games are they gonna produce internal competition is pretty weird.

Same i am so excited! will be pre-ordering this for sure! 

It's not made by Techland though, but rather by Yager, so people shouldn't write it off, it will be solid at worst.

But they didn't get the message across and everyone thinks now that Techland is developing both Dead Island 2 and Dying Light.

I totally agree, everyone is already trashing the game because they think it's developed by Techland and it's going to be a copy and paste like riptide.

And I don't mind prequel sequel whatever, I just love playing these games.
But I believe it's going to be a sequel.
