Nothing really changed sales wise I think ... though I think MS will be more competetive with Sony in the US from now on, but that has more to do with the $399.99 SKU.

Nintendo had a really good show but unfortunately I don't think the stubborn "dudebros" will buy it still and the casuals are still gone. And that "middle audience" between the two is evaporating from the game business (which is bad for everyone but it hurts Nintendo more). But I give Nintendo high marks, they had a really, really good show, if you are a Nintendo fan and still refuse to jump in ... shame on you.

Except that all those consoles will get people to buy even more PS4 games which means even more money.

You missed my point. Each of the tens of thousands of units will sell even more PS4 games.

I can tell you right now MCC wont touch the Destiny bundle. But Halo 5 next year will move more units than anything that has been announced probably

Also, let's be honest. Most people don't watch entire conferences. The vast majority will watch highlights or catch news second-hand on gaming sites. It's really about generating positive buzz that catches people's attention when they check the IGN or whatever, after they get home from work.


Yeah and most of it was just a bunch of teasers for games that come out god-knows-when...

Don't know if you're being sarcastic, but either way the Destiny White PS4 bunduru will sell way more than just a few "ten thousands"

I Would say 250k-400k

Nothing changed in terms of sales unfortunately.
At tho point Nintendo can release the best game ever while Sony releases the worst game ever and the PS4 would still sell more...

Yes this will sell every last unit available.


Problem is that PS4 is already pretty much doing that.  I thing the biggest potential gain is for MS, because they had more to gain.

Well now. I think we need to evaluate this fully to come to a conclusion.
Who has the best ratio between costs incurred by E3 and profits gained or losses avoided by being there? Be sure to take into account what the next 12 months would look like if the company had not shown up for comparison! Get out your spreadsheets everyone!!!
