It was great, Mine lastest the whole gen and is still alive today. 13 years old and still going strong.

That pretty good most of the early fat ones released in the US ended up not working anymore due to the DRE problem.  Got a silver slim one that was made in 2008 that still works perfectly.

Mines been thrashed aswell, I used swap magic on it aswell for when I used to pirate games lol shes been through the wars this one.

The slim ones are super easy to modify in order to play pirated games not that I ever did it.  I have a large enough backlog that I don't ever have to pirate games.  I do have a few pirated games for the Dreamcast which needed no modding to play burned games.

Actually for Pirated games the fat PS2 is better.

I had the fat PS2 and the slim one.

Many pirated games that worked on the fat PS2 don't work on the slim one.

For example there was Super Nintendo and Nintendo Mario collection for PS2.

I could play all the classic Mario games on the fat PS2.

Mario Collection didn't work on the slim ps2.

There was also emulation for genesis and Super Nintendo games that works on the fat PS2.

It didn't work on the slim PS2.

for pirated games from my experience the fat PS2 is better.

All the original games work fine on the slim PS2.

Lol No. Lol

I try not to pirate anymore, those where the days when I was a broke teen :P

I think if you play emulators for older games there's nothing wrong it.

Consoles such as Nintendo 64 Game Cube or genesis and all the older consoles.

The companies don't manufacture these consoles anymore

They don't lose anything when you play the old game because the consoles aren't for sale anymore.

They already made their profit when the consoles and games were originally released.

And you can't pirate the new consoles anyway.

So playing old games on emulators is fine.

underpowered and with hardware issues...

no

my favorite game of all time came exclusive (back in the day) to the PS2, and im talking about ZOE 2, aside frome that there were othe amazing games as well, like MGS3, ICO, SHADOW OF THE COLLOSUS, GOD OF WAR 2 etc. so yeah i can agree with that statement.

1. NES - Restored gaming after video game crash.
2. Playstation 1 - Bought mature and hardcore games in gaming who were fed up playing kid's games.

Hur? What kind of new mature content did the PS bring that the other 4th and 5th gen consoles didn't have?

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)

WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
