SE isn't going all mobile if it wasn't working for them.. You have to realize.. this version is entirely rebuild with the UNITY engine.. an engine that runs on Vita and pretty soon on the 3DS..

If you take into account that a remake of Dragon Quest VII on 3DS sells like 1.25m copies, they're going to have to sell a hell of a lot of copies on iOS (1.15-1.2m) to make it "worthwhile" compared to porting to a handheld.

And that's not taking into account the fact that 3DS games sell for a higher price than this Dragon Quest VIII remake ($28 vs. $50)

I don't think that's performing great. That's not a worthwhile port. Fair enough, it did okay if you look at it in a vacuum, but DQ VII has shown that there's a bigger market willing to pay a higher price for Dragon Quest remakes elsewhere.

Hi! Nice post here, buddy, keep it up! I heard about this $24.99 launch earlier this week if am not wrong and this is indeed pretty dear for a mobile game. Not many developers have dared to charge that much and Square Enix surely has a back-up plan to boost its sales!
