There will be a small pool of Vita owners who prefer physical releases (I am one of those people), but I wouldn't be surprised to see these numbers overtracked.

So would you say the number would reflect only the physical release (though somewhat overtracked in your opinion) but not at all considering the digital purchases? If so then it doesn't sound too bad, I remember reading someone from Sony confirming that the number of games digitally downloaded on Vita was accounting for about half of the game sales. I could be wrong on this though, but anecdotal experience with my case and some other Vita owners I know would point this way.

This is why i think vita is massively overtrcked, especially weekly in the other countries!

Vita:      NoA=2,570         Europe=6,956        Japan=24,869        WW=42,612

Edit: This has been going on for a long time unfortunately. I think vita is around 7.2mil-7.5mil currently!

Sony systems generally do well in the other countries so the numbers aren't too alarming. Also what makes you think Vita is overtracked by nearly a million? Any source or just a hunch?

Hunch but its definitely overtracked, US alone 130k+. Rest of the world has 8217 sold this week. Thats more than Europe, no way this is remotely true. Rest of the World has been even practically with Europe for Months now (well at least past 6-10 weeks).

You think Rest of the World>Europe? Has this ever happened in HW :p

Just saw it.
Also the numbers of last week have been heavily adjusted :)

Should i start chuckling now, or should i hold off for a bit and give people time to get their crows out of the oven?

I want to see the face of the guys that strong defensed the last week number now lol

There are adjustments to be made yet... PS4 will won in US in April with at least a 30k difference... VGC shows Xbone winning by 3k yet.

This is a very factual statement.  You got the NPD numbers already?  What is this very precise number based on?

Suddenly someone cares about future and present :p I kid I kid.

It's probably because English is his second language. He said "will won" I think he meant will win.

and the previous weeks adjustments?

These are the previous weeks adjustments... it is overall... the adjustments made in all weeks.

Yeah, this is only the physical release.  The number may be correct, it's just that the most recent reference point (Dangan Ronpa) sold ~ 11.5k physically in the USA in the month it released, so having Demon Gaze sell ~ 12k in its first week of sale seems a bit high.

There's definitely a large amount of digital sales to go with it though, like you say.  For a title like this I think it'd be on the lower side of things though, because the game is niche and fans of niche games tend to like physical copies and limited editions.

Is under 9 mil a fair assessment for Wii U at the end of 2014? Please help thanks.

If MK8/SSB/Some other games dont push consoles then yes. But it wont happen.

I dream of the day where 100% of the Japanese released games get digital release WW with english subtitles/translation. How expensive could it be to get a translator to work side by side with the writers? wouldn't some measely 1000 extra sales per game pay for it? Everything else = profit

The exact same thing happened last year and then Nintendo released their market share charts for Q1 & Q2 and they showed that Vita > WiiU, and then adjustments were made all round (Vita up; WiiU down).

The same thing is happening this year.  The difference is that the Vita 2000 hasn't released in Europe yet and that may be contributing.  Anecdotally, stock of the original model seems to be drying up, so it may well be that Vita is selling less in Europe at the moment.

Hopefully we'll get some charts from Nintendo tomorrow which should clear this up.
