Magnetic tapes have many benefits and with one little tape like this you can backup all your stuff without ever worrying about running out of space.

So cool!

(now where are the people that say Sony don't ever do new things?)

Yeah, my dad is an IT manager for a food distributor. Seriously, every day they back up all their software on a 2-3 TB tape. It's actually pretty cool stuff. This is definitely business application stuff though. Cassettes are really only good for backups because of the linear access.

Linear access, and read times are pretty bad compared to solid state. It's the reason cassettes fell out of favor with consumer use after CDs came along. 

But still, dat storage
