I think it's good in general that the ban is lifted. Nobody seems to care about it here, I wonder why. I think posts would be different if it was another system which will be released there officially...

awesome, a snarky generallization..

...so how about this.   tell me why the chinese market will be any more successful than the indian market?

Show me where I talked about success. Are you not glad that chinese now are able to buy the system officially? This is what I am talking about.

Please provide evidence to why your sneaky attack, by generalizing something to a fanbase is based on? Who said they weren't happy the ban was lifted?

You could say something about the subject instead of flaming and off topic whining.

A new Xbox One game will retail for around 300 RMB - equivalent to $48 - but the joint venture would create content for a variety of business models.

$48 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The average game is a pirated copy and costs around $2. Good luck Microsoft. There are two reasons there is almost no PS4/PS3 market in China (both are readily available in China). One is the high price of the consoles, the other one is pretty obvious.

Finally someone said it.

As someone live in China i call tell you this price isn't high for them

Plus,it's under 300

The biggest issue of China market is always Chinese gov, nothing is major problem compared to them

Even if he was he isnt really wrong.  If you know how console wars work the comments are pretty predictable.  THis isnt to say the Xbox fanbase wouldnt do the same if Sony announced this.

Comments would prob look like this

"Well Chinese hate Japanese so good luck"

So yes if the announcement was for sony the comments would be vice versa.  THough in the end i dont think we can really predict how the outcome will be and adding to that he is also right that we should just be happy about the chinese lifting the ban for them.  Whether that is what his originol comment was about or not he hasnt been wrong in either situation.

If they're predictable, why do you people keep pointing them out. It adds nothing to the discussion.

Let it go.

Actually, it does. See if people don't point out the hypocricies in others, then there can be no progress. Now Xbox and Nintendo fans act a certain way, you guys call us out.

Difference is with you guys, your majority here literally makes or breaks thread topics depending on your interest and how much people are critiquing your favourite console/corporation. The thread origionally had little interest because lets all just say it: It isn't pro Playstation, it is pro Xbox, and for once, MS would have the jump on Sony this generation. It only took one person to call you guys out on essentially "sweeping this under the rug" for someone like you to rise to the defense of your interests.

Contributes nothing.... you guys have a social responsibility here as the majority faction. You must set the example. Showing indeference to news that isn't immediately pro-Sony can and should be called out, just as you guys call us out.

Except in this case their is not much the Chinese goverment to do, they can hardly censor games thanks to the free trade zone where Besttv is located...

rolls eyes. You xbox guys are weird, man. Really effin weird.

Guy makes jab at playstation fanbase and "hypocrisy". Has a sig that is basically verbatim of his own post. Wildly backpedals into saying that he was genuinely wondering why people weren't happy for the Chinese, which is utterly absurd given that not a single person said otherwise. Downplays that any of it had to do with playstation. Gets called out on it. Disappears. Other xbox fans come in and say, "yeah he wasn't talking shit at all, it's perfectly acceptable". Next step is all xbox fans abandon thread.

It's freaky how this happens every single time. It's like some kind of weird brotherhood.

Number 34, you are out of line, back to your place!
But sir, I saw an-
You will not act without prior approval, officer, is that clear?
YES SIR!
Number 12, take 35 and go clean up 34's mess, and don't forget to call out everyone on being offtopic if they respond. 34 You are to make sandwiches until noon!
In unison, saluting, "-SAUCE!"

I sincerely apologize for the lack of central leadership in my absence. Rest assured I can and will stick to my guns :).

I shall not backpeddle and will just say it: if this was reversed you guys would very likely be hyping this up then we ever could, while taking jabs that the gap would increase ever more then it is now, mixed with genuine happiness that the Playstation agenda will be furthered in another country. This isn't offensive but rather a typical cultural reaction that any fan faction would feel and react given the news.

What is interesting is that our attempt to have said reaction to positive news has been met with PS fans downplaying it at every turn. Double standard....one of the byproducts of a majority faction here having most sway in the eb and flow of thread progression.

P.S - I would gladly view our faction as soemthing of one mind and structure compared to you guys who have no unity, only loosely joined by your love of PS. And a serious lack of accountability for eachothers words and actions....despite in the real world where the words of one can easily condem his peers despite not being the opinion of everybody. Nomads...anarchy i tellz you!

Yes but in this case they are the ones who also made it zones with less censor ship, turn that back and they would shoot in their own foot something they can't afford at the moment...

Hmm...
Xbox has as much of a chance to be successful in China as PS4.
Doesn't the Chinese hate both Americans and Japanese?

The hatred the chinese have for the japanese is on a different level to that of the americans. Japan did some awful things in WW2 to China and many in both countries still dislike each other.
