What is Kareoke U? Is that a real game? Do people sing into their game pads?

As loved as Mario Kart is with its many fans, Nintendo should ONLY sell Mario Kart in a Wii U bundle- IF you want the game you have to buy a Wii U-

Was hoping there would be some kind of checkered pattern somewhere on the console or Gamepad, but still very nice nonetheless (and especially with the Karaoke trial, like ribbon frosting decorations on a cake).

Makes me wonder how many vindictive users proclaiming they wanted a bundle like this to happen will STILL spew bile-infused hatred on it in one way or another despite getting what they were hoping Nintendo would do.

What the heck!? So the people who already bought a Wii U would have to buy another to play Mario Kart 8? That's extremely dumb! You already have to buy a Wii U to play Mario Kart 8 anyways!

It's an EU/JP exclusive (suck it, colonials) where you sing karaoke. You CAN sing using the gamepad mic, or you can use ANY USB mic. The key thing is that you pay by the hour (or day, or week, or month) instead of a one off purchase and that more songs are added weekly; it's essentially like having a Karoake bar in your living room, and it's great fun.
