The only problem is how am I going to find the time to play all these games?

Civilization: Beyond Earth has been announced. We're the first in the world outside of Firaxis to play it, and you'll be able to read my hands-on impressions in the next issue of PC Gamer UK. While I was at Firaxis, I had the chance to sit down with the two lead designers, Will Miller and David McDonough for a comprehensive hour-long chat about every aspect of Beyond Earth. Read on for details on Beyond Earth's affinities, its dramatic sci-fi tech research web, orbital gun platforms, alien Siege Worms, new high-concept win conditions and loads, loads more.

Sounds pretty great.  Espiecally everyone having varying playstyles.  That was the one downside in Alpha Centauri for me.  The Human Civilizations were way too... generic I guess i'd say with their factions.  (All the scientists are here! All the UN peacekeeperers here!)

This might be my first day 1 purchase since... X-com I want to say.

Too bad there's no next gen XCOM being developed. :(.

Oh, I think it will come, that (amazing) game was pretty sucessfull:

1 XCOM: Enemy Unknown PC 2012 Strategy Take-Two Interactive 0.19 0.30 0.00 0.08 0.56
2 XCOM: Enemy Unknown X360 2012 Strategy Take-Two Interactive 0.31 0.18 0.00 0.05 0.54
3 XCOM: Enemy Unknown PS3 2012 Strategy Take-Two Interactive 0.18 0.18 0.00 0.06 0.42

It wasn´t a high budget game neither, but, man, it was sooooo fun!

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Look awesome.

I can see this hitting PS4 sooner not later.

No doubt it will hit PS4 and X1.

But it will be like Civ Revolutions on X360.  A lot of fun sure, but nowhere near the wonder of PC versions.

I hope not, althought I loved Civ Revolution, I really want a real console version this time. Hey, Tropico 4 on the Xbox 360 was just like the PC version, it can happen...

Me too, more than 200 hours...

I'm pretty excited for this :)

Although I enjoyed playing with the familiarity of human history, I'm glad they're going a different direction.

Looks pretty cool, though I'm annoyed at a CGI trailer, it's just entirely pointless for a strategy game

I never got to play Alpha Centurai, so I guess this will be my chance
