Admittedly, not much beyond the trial since you just need it to transfer. However for the hardcore who want all their pokemon and have almost filled their PC boxes. You will also need it if you want to transfer several pokemon fast if you have multiple games. And it will be necessary for the next generation

Really not necessary. The only reason why I'm interested in it is because of the Transporter. Since I never fill up my main game boxes. I don't need it after one day.
