What has me excited right now is the revisiting of Halo. So later this year we're gonna get Halo 2 Anniversary edition WITH ALL SORTS OF SHIT. On Xbox One. November 11th!

Don't believe this cause it makes no sense to put it on the X1.  Its not like its gonna move consoles so might aswell put it on 360 which has the install base to sell more copies.  Also Halo 5 should be coming out around that time.

If this source is legit then Halo 5 is 2015 with a beta bundled with Halo 2 anniversary like Crackdown/Halo 3 beta and Halo 3: ODST/Halo Reach Beta.

That would move consoles this Christmas.

That's what the real secret is, the next halo is really just a halo 2 port!    :)

Although a rumor, I would say this seems reasonable. I wonder what will be done with the multiplayer though considering they can't attach it to a currently release halo game like they did with the last anniversary game.

Either way I am excited. Halo 2 still had the best multiplayer levels of any in the series. I also hope they opt for that Friday (November 7) to release it instead for obvious reasons.

They would put it on 360 if anything, just like Halo 1 Anniversary.

Inject some late life into the console, and it doesn't cannibalize Halo 5 sales.

Not happening. I'd trust the leak from Microsoft Australia over this. Halo 5 will be this year. Halo 2 anniversary could be on 360 though.

If that source is correct then Halo 5 isn't coming in 2014, so there's nothing to cannibalize.

Oh man I really hope this is true. Halo 2 was amazing. Although much like how I used to love Halo: CE I'm sure most of it's nostalgia and a remake (in the vein of Halo: CEA) wouldn't be very good. Unless of course Halo 2 didn't have the gamebreakingly bad framerate that Halo: CE did (I honestly can't remember if it did or not since it's been 6+ years since I played the game).

Ya then the source is just fishing for clicks, since MS confirmed that Halo 5 was coming this year. E3 will tell all.
