That sounds like a terrible idea. While it may end up being a good Sonic game, it'll probably be a bad Mario game.

Well, most main 3D Mario games are rated in 90 percentiles, while no Sonic game has ever had average ratings that high (for averages). Sonic just being there will probably make the game lower than 90%; therefore making it a not-so-good main-line Mario game . (Lol, JK)

if we met for coffee some day with like an hour to kill i think i could get you on board as long as you have an open mind.  After all, i don't wanna kill what makes the sonic universe what it is, but a full explanation of what i actually envision would only allow 2 posts per page :) . That's alot of effort and time to explain something that'll never happen, so just take my word for it k?  lol kinda lazy. :)

If Sonic Team allows Nintendo EAD all control when designing and making the game, then it would work. If Sonic Team were to have any amount of control then the game may as well not be made.
