While Nintendo may be struggling with some bad press right now due to their financial forecast not equaling what they anticipated, there is good news coming out of Japan. Japanese publication Famitsu has released the Top 10 selling games in Japan, and all but one are available exclusively on a Nintendo platform:

1: Pokemon X / Y – 3,976.829

2: Monster Hunter 4 – 3,923,312

3: Animal Crossing: New Leaf – 1,730,182

4: Friend Collection: New Life – 1,580,067

5: Dragon Quest VII Remake – 1,227,377

6: Puzzles and Dragons Z – 1,005,697

7: Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon – 982,737

8: Grand Theft Auto V – 605,882

9: New Super Mario Bros. U – 584,479 (including bundles)

10: Wii Party U – 518,776 (including bundles)

While the Japanese market is very different then the American market, it seems Nintendo still knows what to do in Japan to bring in game sales. Can Nintendo capture the US and European market in time to start seeing success like this in 2014? It will be an interesting year for sure for Nintendo fans, and we will be here to cover all of the information.

I agree with you that Grand Theft Auto was quite a surprise. I didn't think the Japanese market would take such a hold to it.

5 years ago, people found a error in the threads on vgchartz.

Every thread haves a special number like this one number 176376 and someone found out if you created a link yourself but with a thread number that does not exist yet you already could post a comment. So when that thread finally get opened you will see the comment people made years ago..

Kirby/Soriku made some funny threads back then that only will pop up in the future, their are some who said their will be also popping up some crazy porn shit..
