My prediction was sub 282, and my guess at the time was around 200k. I still feel somewhat confident in that prediction.

The PS4 will do it in February even DKC can't change anything. 
But I don't think the 2nd place is so easy for the Xbox One. There is gonna be a fight of the exclusives. Which title can sell more units? Titanfall? Mario Kart 8? Quantum Break? X? I have no answer. We'll have to see what comes next to say something about that. That's why 'June' and 'never' is possible. 

All the mario groupies i think already have a wii u. the system is cheap as nuts now. Mario kart isn't that big of a system seller it just appealed to the wii fanbase at the time. that game itself did not sell systems.

Yes that sounds about right. 350-400k north america. 200k rest of the world total of 600k

Don't know what wii-u did over Xmas... but I would say by end of March the way things are going. XboxOne, slightly harder to predict as we don't know what drop off there will be with stock in stores. I stated in another post that I believe XBO will overtake the wii-u by Xmas 2014 or just after.. I think we might see that happen by August/September. Just think the wii-u is dead in the water really.
