Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Faithfuls don't actually support the Wii-U.

Well, I bought a WiiU Day-1. And unlike about 95% of the Sony fans I even bought a Vita.
Checkmate, atheists.

i bought it!.....but then sold it.....but then bought it again!
so im not to blame. plus i buy 3rd party stuff a lot on NIntendo consoles.

i think its too expensive. Nintendo consoles have always been very cheap at launch and WiiU broke that rule....and its paying it simple as that

Off topic, but that is an awesome picture for your profile!!!

There are many Nintendo fans defending the Wii u yet they have not bought one themselves- Naturally there are some who would buy one if they could due to financial reasons but most are just waiting on the games they are personally interested in- Being longtime Nintendo supporters they know to wait until the games they want are RELEASED not just announced or talked about- Many fans and other prospective Wii u buyers are doing the same- (and for good reason I may add) - but it does seem kind of odd to be called out by the Nintneod fans when I have legit critisims for how Nintneod has launched and supported (or not) the Wii u even though I bought one at launch and many of the people that defend Nintendo s actions have not bought one yet-

If I ever buy another Nintendo console it will belong after launch- learned my lesson this go around-

Still frustrated and very concerned w Nintendo's handling of the Wii U but still have hopes for its future

I can simply replace WiiU with Vita, change the years and sales, and ask you Sony dudes the same question.
If you are a Sony faithful, why haven't you bought A Vita yet? I'm an avid Nintendo fans and even I have one XP

The saddest part about that is that it has been out in some markets for 2 years now!

No, Nintendo is to blame for a number of reasons. One of them was having another audience as their main focus during the Wii generation.

If you been to as many websites and read the forums, chances are you met, read or contacted 1,000 fans tops, maybe 2,000 no doubt the big fans, the ones spending their time in forums defending Ninty have gotten the Wii U, fans always come through, it's the casual and those on the fence that have not come through

Pikmin was never a really big franchise, Monster Hunter is only big in Japan and Wind Waker was available on Gamecube.

Do you really expect all dedicated Nintendo fans to buy the system just because of Mario platformers (which, by the way, already have recent predecessors available on the 3DS)?

I wouldn't credit Nintendo faithfulls for the Gamecube.....it was their lack of support that made it the least selling console of the gen. Nintendo faithfulls are a minority of grown adults that play Nintendo for the nostalgia. Otherwise Nintendos power comes from attracting new after new generations of children, which grow up and flock to Xbox/PS/PC.

Before haters come in......the only 6th gen console I owned was a Gamecube. I know, whodathunkit?

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

ive gotten the last 3 Ninty consoles and at least one iteration of every handheld. There isnt anything on Wii U i want, its that simple. THe games i would play are games i can get for PS3 or PC. Heres my question; why do you care so much.

Don't support the console. Support the games.
