No figures from Sony, just that it's top console in US last month, many have worked out it's around 1.25m~ though.

WiiU is at 1.6m as of end of November, will likely do similar in Dec, so probably 1.8m end of the year.

Stock permitting (I guess this is the key) can PS4 sell 550k+ in December and overtake????


XB1 will be 900k behind, even with good stock it's going to be difficult to match that.

Usually I would say yes but the wiiU sales arent doing bad by any means (A lot improved over October)... and it just might be enough to be ahead until January but its hard to tell... The bulk sales of the ps4 is pretty much over... I think thats more cause the demand is higher than supply but either ways... The wiiU might be ahead till 2014

so its roughly 350k more consoles sold than Wiiu. Its possibly forsure. if sony wanted to they could, but as with whats mentioned in every thread. Depends how much sony ships

I remember when everyone was claiming Nintendo was causing shortages when they couldnt meet over 1.5m a month in demand but Sony(A major electronics maker) is given a free pass when they cannot make 800k a month.

Doubtful it will overtake the Wii U as demand has already fallen below Wii U in weekly sales.

Shortages are a very real thing. You realise they could get more factories making PS4's, but they don't do it for short contracts ect, it's a massive operation. So they could easily start putting out an extra 1m PS4's a month now, but what about next year when sales drop because it isn't the holidays???? They'll be producing too many PS4's.

This is exactly why Nintendo never upped production of the Wii during its heyday.

I have a feeling it will be very close. if sony sold 2.1 million WW in Nov. than 1.25 million in NA would be 59% of stock shipped. if sony does the 3 million they said, 59% of the remaining 900k would be another 530k. putting it around 1.78million.

False demand?   My local EB games have a wait list into the new year.  everywhere is sold out and they have massive lists.  amazon gets sold out in 45 minutes.  Sony will sell every unit it ships.     I say they could if they wanted because it depends how they allocate stock.  My last post explains that.
