We use to live in the Philippines where coconut grows all over the place!, fresh coconut juice everyday. Coconut juice ice candy with sweet and juicy coconut meat mmmn.

There aren't coconuts grown locally where I live, but I do enjoy it.

I drank some when I went to Trinidad. Coconut water is the best thing to drink, but take to much of it and it'll act like a laxative lol.

Its amazing how people can hold it with one hand, and cut it with a cutlass machete like nothing.

I love it! Grew up on the stuff since I have a few trees surrounding my house back home. I would often cut them for myself and eat the jelly inside after drinking. Nothing beats drinking the water from the actual shell. I tried some bottled ones in the US ....... never again.

Really? I have a "Better than nothing" approach to the botled coconut water, I drink when the real deal is hard to find, which is not that often actually. But, I guess there are some shitty ones around, since a lot of you guys talked about it...

That IS amazing. The vendors around my towns are pussies though, they use a special tool that make it easier.

Since I'm in the US now I'm left with little choice. If I do drink any, it will likely be from a few brands from the Caribbean and Latin America. Those seem to capture the taste, in some sense. And yea, there are plenty of bad ones around.
