You'll definitely need to swap brick. That's pretty much the standard when going US vs many other markets.

nah I have a massive power converter.... I just hoped I could retire it for the time being the thing is making some electromagnetic noise it's ennoying in quiet parts of movies or games....

and I'm not sure power bricks are already available separatly at least not at my usual parts and component store I go for all my console geeking needs :D

Isn't it safer just to buy a replacment brick locally and plug that into your console? I know when I was considering moving out of US, I could rather easily buy new plugs/bricks for my Wii/PS3. Figured all consoles were similar in that manner.

I think this is what you are looking for: https://skydrive.live.com/embed?cid=D85E39BA1B5AD150&resid=D85E39BA1B5AD150%213237&authkey=AFGHDAPOjOjN4V8

exactly :)

thank you

so yeah same shit than the US 360 the power input is 110V-120V which means it doesn't work out of the box.... good thing I bought a massive belking power surge guard US power bar to go with convertor on my last trip to the US :D

well now I need a bundle with 2 pads and a charger kit with 2 batteries and nothing else unless they are codes for downloading the games... I don't want any disc this gen.... I wish they did a version without a BR player.... but I guess if I want them to push kinect I have to accept that they push that last century tech too (disc based storage) :)))))

You are welcome!

I thought it wasn't what you were hoping for - not needed a converter for your country.  But at least now you know.

I'm looking for disk free deals too. So far, I haven't found any for the Xbox One.  If you see some, let me know.

will do

looking for console bundles with game codes for DD or just for a basic console SKU???

anyway is there any store selling XB download codes for games alone right now beside xbox.com and the store on the Xbox itself ????

So XBox One is selling great yet some stock comes and go online every day. I didn't plan to get one this year because I wasn't expecting MS to be able to provide stock at a steady pace like that... So I might try to grab one of them in one of those flash sales online, but before that I need a couple question answered

-any of you, US owners could you please take a few second and give me the input specification on the power brick. Since I plan on importing from the US I'd like to know if I'll have to swap power bricks like on the 360???

-also could you give me the size of the box it came in so I can get a quote on international parcel shipment???

those are my main questions

now secondary questions:

-if anybody has an import from an other country than theirs at the moment have you had any issues with XBL or anything???

-should I expect any issues with it knowing that I have a US XBL account a US bank account linked to the XBL acct and I am behind a VPN located in the US, and that everything is working flawlessly for me on the 360 at the moment????

thanks for the answers and enjoy your ultimate entertainement machine, I know I will (as soon as I can get one)

Why are you importing into France from the US?  The Xbox One launched in France and it is available there, in Italy, Germany, Spain, and the UK.

The cost of shipping and import duties surely must be more than the cost difference between US dollars and the Euro, or is it that great?

All Xbox Ones are region free, and all Xbox LIVE accounts can be changed between different LIVE regions.

I would think it'd have to be cheaper buying it in France though than buying it and shipping it from the US.  Or am I missing something?

not for me since I don't pay exchange rate I have a US account with enough money on it from when I use to live and work in the US... I don't pay duties either or at least I never had to for now.... so getting an XB is about 600 bucks with shipping rounded up for me,  XB one costs 525 euros in france which is a little more than 700 USD

I might not even have to ship since I go there at least once a year and I have friends visiting me here.... so I use the opportunity to have them bring stuff with them :D

the only device that is not from the US in my living room is my cable box :D

I would like to find just digital codes at amazing discounts to download games and keep the instant switching without having to switch disk!

I have heard some of the retailers have digital games in store. You still get a case, but it's thinner than the one with a disk inside – and has that QR code that takes Kinect .5 seconds to read.  You can digital cards codes for the 360 easily enough, I think it's just a matter of time before more Xbox One game codes even show up on Ebay.

However, I haven't seen any great sales on Next Gen games.  So for that will probably have to wait until next year, or a one day sale this month.

PS Wow, you get the best of both world! Xbox and real French Food whenever you want it!

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

so to answer your question the basic XB one pack with a charger kit and an extra pad with express international cshipping and the maximum import tax I might have to pay is still 30 dollars cheaper than the discounted equivalent on amazon france without shipping...

and it is like 20 euros cumulated discount right now.... so without discount it would be almoost 60 bucks more and still have shipping to pay (if it's not free)

There is a part of me that says, it's not worth it.  However, to each his own.

Don't take that as I disapprove, not that my approval matters, but I'm just undecided on whether or not it's worth it.

On one hand, that's a lot of effort and hassle, but on the other hand you're getting more for your money.

I don't know if I have the level of patience you do when it comes to how one spends their money.  I'm generally a convience guy.  For example, I recently had the opportunity to save $100 if I waited to get my car fixed a little more than a week after I could get it fixed elsewhere.  I chose spending the $100 to get it sooner rather than saving $100 and getting it later.

Seriously.  If I was in Brazil and buying a PS4, I'd be the guy who buys it for R4,000, not importing it for R2,000.

If the Xbox One power brick isn't 120/240 60/50Hz compatible, then you should be able to purchase one through Xbox Support or the Microsoft Store on online (I haven't checked).  Not sure if I would trust what's available on Amazon or eBay, but again, that's a personal thing.  Not a fan of knock-offs.

I totally agree convenience has a price and for many things I'm ready to pay more.... now that being said in that case I don't see the hassel since instead of ordering from amzon.fr I did from amazon.com I ordered tuesday and getting it friday with amazon.fr I would have gotten it thursday at best... so I might waste 24h tops...

now it is not even guaranteed I will have to pay duties... 1 out of 3 shippment goes through.... and until now I never did pay them... so all in all I might end up saving close to 200 bucks for a 24h delay tops.... with no added hassel

well for the brick I have already a local store that does all the goodies you need for consoles and PC.... http://www.assentek.com/ they get official parts they just don't seem to have the new ones yet.... but I don't really care, like I said I have a 3000 watt converter and the brick is 60/50 mhz so it will work I was just looking for future updates... since I plan on getting a new TV next year and will try to have a 220/110V this time, and move the current one to the bed room with the power converter since it is a 110V only.... but worst case scenario I guess I'll just run a cable somehow... it's not like I don't have a giant trash bag full of them waiting to be used lol :)
