I dont think it will be about Sir Francis Drake
i was looking at the teaser and i noticed something 23 seconds into it

It is a type of cryptogram style and i found out an actual privateer named Olivier Levasseur, also know as La Buse, used this type this style in his will were he said "Find my treasure, the one who may understand it!"
I tried to decode it using the assumed alphabet used in Olivier's cryptogram but i cant figure it out

also at the end of the teaser it shows the island of St. Mary, off the coast of Madagascar, circled. This is the same island in which Olivier Levasseur had set up a base around 1721 and began conducting raids of that base with a couple of other pirates

I finally figured out the cipher using a Freemason cipher alphabet

Decoded it says: memento mori
A Latin phrase meaning "remember that you will die" and serves as an artistic or symbolic reminder of the inevitability of death. This phrase is probably related to the skull seen at the end of the teaser

But its so weird... I imagine a lot of fans being disappointed over no Nate :/ How the fuck are they gonna jump between two characters? And Nolan hasnt spilled the beans yet either. Im scared. Maybe its just a whole new story and reboot.

Haha man is gaf slow. I decoded that before even posting this thread! Plus they missed the 1739 hidden in it. However, that could be a coincidence.

Also you need to keep up on all the twitter people. A bunch of people have started following each other. Nolan North is in the game for sure.

NATE AND CUTTER

Now where is Sully?!?!?!

Im quite intrigued (its a goddamn Naughty Dog after all) but the fact that its being directed by the same people who did UC3, which was rushed and worse compared to UC2 (still an amazing game tho) is making me a skeptic.

There has to be some sort of evolution in the next uncharted, it cant be just UC3 with improved graphics and animations, unless ND wants to their next game to end up like Shadowfall

Main director for UC2 and UC3 were both Amy Hennig

Well he wasn't around for TLoU and won't be around for any more ND game until he gets back to the gaming industry. He's not been with ND since after UC3.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Yeah well I personally hold Jacob higher because TLOU was amazingly designed from a game perspective imo and UC3 had a fuckton of variety that 2 and 1 sorely lacked. I'd be sceptical if we didn't actually know what Jacob did as a sole lead game designer :P Not sure how much is on him and how much is the other team in general, but still.

Like ND has stated several times, people weigh in constantly and it really shows. After 3 UC games, I'm sure someone can step up who knows how everything works. The biggest question would be how they plan on changing it up because ND doesn't really recycle the same exact gameplay. I hope Jacob is there. While TLOU and UC are different games, it sure can help to be on both sides.

Joe, was replaying TLOU and thought about this again =>

And I remember someone asking Neil or Bruce if they had a easter egg for their next game like they did in UC3, in TLOU and the answer was something along the lines of: "We had something planned but to be honest, I am not sure if it made it or not"
