Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Recent events make the XO power difference seems less of an issue to me

As long as the game looks fine idc as much at least for launch

As long as the Xbox One works the way its supposed to then Microsoft has nonthing to worry about. Since Microsoft did the invite last week to show the system people are very impressed and cant wait for the Xbox One. I want to see more from the exclusives like Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Fable Legends and Halo.

You're admitting that it was actually an issue in the 1st place for you?

stage 5: acceptance

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I guess 1080p 60 fps on Forza is negligible.
Or UFC 1080p 60 fps on X1 is a lie from EA.
Or Quantum Break.

Oh, well...

There are no graphical issues on either console.

A typical person playing games will not notice a difference between the two consoles.

Sure, if you freeze a game, take a screen shot and put them side-by-side you can tear one or the other apart, but when people are playing they are not going to be thinking, "Geez my version stinks compared to the other console"...

Also, the X1 is not under powered. As compared to most typical gaming PCs it will run circles around them. So to say it is under-powered is only when compared to a $3,000 gaming PC or the PS4... Compared to the Wii U, 90% of PCs, and most other consumer devices it is a powerhouse. And while Sony fans like to talk about their technical specs, the generation will be long and as it progresses things will be more about the cloud, streaming games, and other things related to the architecture of the consoles.

Ohh man, one reviewer is saying that the framerate is better on X1 others have a different story.

"It seems like it's turning out that next gen textures and effects is a bigger deal than resolution. 720P as long as it has next textures and effects is fine. XO games will be a big step up from 360 ones even at the same 720P resolution Sure 1080P is preferable, but it's not a dealbreaker."

What you said here is exactly true.

IMO anyone who says otherwise isn't a good gamer (or in other words, they care more about the console wars BS than they do about actual games which makes them petty and sad).

Take this man. You're going to be eaten alive.
