Here's an interesting interview with Adam Howden.

Interesting...so they had absolutely no plans to release Xenoblade in NA...
Cool interview! He seems like a pretty nice guy. Loved how excited he got when he was asked to voice Shulk in SSB XD

I would get excited too. Still hoping Xenoblade X has Shulk in it.
Seriously though you cant blame Nintendo, it was the fans who showed no intrest in F-Zero.

Loll, that pic is awesome
But anyway, as for ur second thing, while its true that fans showed no interest in F-zero, I do think Nintendo should try and make another one and market it properly cause if you look at another series like Fire Emblem:
1 | Fire Emblem: Awakening | 3DS | 2012 | Strategy | Nintendo | 0.51 | 0.26 | 0.52 | 0.07 | 1.35 |
2 | Fire Emblem | GBA | 2003 | Strategy | Nintendo | 0.49 | 0.18 | 0.29 | 0.01 | 0.97 |
3 | Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones | GBA | 2004 | Strategy | Nintendo | 0.42 | 0.16 | 0.30 | 0.02 | 0.89 |
4 | Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo | SNES | 1994 | Strategy | Nintendo | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.70 | 0.00 | 0.70 |
5 | Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon | DS | 2008 | Strategy | Nintendo | 0.27 | 0.02 | 0.27 | 0.03 | 0.59 |
6 | Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu | SNES | 1996 | Strategy | Nintendo | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.58 | 0.00 | 0.58 |
7 | Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance | GC | 2005 | Role-Playing | Nintendo | 0.29 | 0.08 | 0.16 | 0.01 | 0.54 |
8 | Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn | Wii | 2007 | Strategy | Nintendo | 0.26 | 0.02 | 0.17 | 0.03 | 0.48 |
9 | Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi | GBA | 2002 | Role-Playing | Nintendo | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.39 | 0.00 | 0.39 |
10 | Fire Emblem: Shin Monshou no Nazo Hikari to Kage no Eiyuu | DS | 2010 | Strategy | Nintendo | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.27 | 0.00 | 0.27 |
Fans also showed very little interest in the series with the DS having only 0.59 million and the wii having only 0.48 million sales but Nintendo gave it another chance on the 3ds and bam 1.35 million sales! I do think it has to do a lot to do with the entry skill level (as well as other things) which FE:A tried to mitigate by having different difficulty levels so maybe F-zero can do the same since F-zero GX wasn't exactly an easy game loll. Now, I am not saying pussify the whole game, I am just saying give the noobs some choice and market it well.

Yeah but that was FE last chance, if Awakening failed the series was to be put on ice (with S.T.E.A.M it almost seems like they have). They could do the same thing with F-Zero on WiiU but is it really going to change things around for the series. I mean only 7 games have pushed 1m and they are either Zelda, Mario or bundled. F-Zero would need to clear 1m at least if they are to continue the series.

Now, don't you crush my dreams by implying that SMT x FE is on the backburner T_T
But yea, I do agree with what you said but I do also think that if they make it more appealing to new comers and actually market it, it might have a good chance cause its like, they are already kind of doing it by having Mute City on both MK8 and SSB so its like come on, make us something please! T_T So I do think it has a chance if they do it properly but I do also understand that the wiiU is selling like ass, its not the safest business move at this time and that making a stage on a popular game is far less costy than making a whole game about it. But I really do hope that they would at least try and make it appealing to the noobs and actually market the darn thing if it comes out cause F-zero is a great series that deserves at least one more chance
Oh and I do think a better name for the thread would be: Nintendo Revolution!
