Forums - Sony Discussion - Brazilian PlayStation Plus Out (Little Cheaper Than US)

When the PS3 came out, Brazil was adopting the PS2. When the PS4 will come out, Brazil will adopt the PS3. This is how Sony wins every gen - emerging markets.

Brazil is not so late anymore. Wii has caught on and is already dying here; Xbox 360 is number one; PS3 sells too strong.

It would be very interesting to know the real numbers in Brazil: video games sold officially here + imported (Which includes many illegally, if not majority). In fact, Brazil inflates the numbers of the United States, since most video games are imported from there. We should not forget that Brazil is the fourth largest market in the world of video games.

Maybe the PS3 has greater survival here than in the developed countries (retrograde terminology), but the difference is not as significant as it was with the PS2.

Fanatismo não leva a nada, apenas a colecionar antipatias.

Collection: Telejogo Ford-Philco, Dactar, TV Game 2600, Master System (2x), Master System Portable, NES, Dynavision 3, Mega Drive 3 (2x - Tectoy and Show Do Milhao Edition), Genesis 3, Genesis Arcade Motion, MD Play, SNES (2x), Super Famicom, Neo Geo CD, 3DO, Saturn, Playstation, Nintendo 64 (2x), Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Game Cube, Xbox, Zeebo, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 (Kinect Bundle), Wii (2x - White and Red), Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, DS Lite, 3DS, Vita, Wii U, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Around 800 games. Preferred Generation: 16 bits.

Just read on GAF that Microsoft is indeed manufacturing Xbox Ones in Brazil. Not sure why people thought Sony was taking such a huge profit. Just didn't make any sense.

Same deals and games of Plus US.

1 month = R$ 19,99 (~$9)
3 months = R$34,99 (~$16)
1 year = R$ 99,99  (~$46)

It is up right now on PSN Store BR.

PS. No Sony... that don't make the PS4k right... give me a console for 2k.

How is that price Sonys fault though? Sony can't control all those taxes.

Xone is $100 more expensive and is coming to brazil for half the ps4k price.

I can guarantee that ps2 was already well established in brazil far before the ps3 announcement.

No.

Brazilians are high-tech users... you can be sure a lot of guys here bought PS3 day one even without Sony Brasil released it here... PS2 too... since day one.

Really? Isn't the average monthly salary in Brazil something like $1000 per month?

Even so you see people using iPhone, Galaxy 4, PS4, 360, etc... and buying >$20k cars.

Ok. Let's hope that Sony hasn't priced the PS4 out of the market in Brazil. Will you be getting one at launch?
