P3P > P3FES > DDS2 > Nocturne = DDS1 = P4
No opinion on SMT4 though. I've yet to play it or get a 3DS. If I were to say a short thing about your "rant" (it's not angry enough) is that a few similar things done extremely well (P3) beat more variety not done as well (Nocturne).
