Well, a family game that everyone can enjoy, Mario Kart Wii, has much wilder appeal that a mature sci-fi story driven shooter. 

I can't imagine sitting around with grandma and the kids playing Halo.  Joey!  There is a Brute sneaking up behind you, get your pistol ready! vs Throwing banannas an turtles on a magic road of mushrooms.

Nintendo has been King of Kids/Family games for quite a long time.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Hardware? never? the numbers are out there but the site hasn't adjusted. I can give you LTD's for USA if you're interested tho. NA isn't wildly different as a whole to that.
